PBKS vs DC in IPL 2025 called off amid Pakistan's terror attack

Dharamsala:

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala has been called off due to Pakistan's sudden attack in Jammu and Jaisalmer. The match started an hour late due to rain. Meanwhile, during the 11th over of the first innings, a floodlight failure brought the match to a standstill. Only one of the towers was working while the others malfunctioned. However, soon after that, official information confirmed that the match had been called off.

Notably, the development arrived after Pakistan’s attack in several parts of Jammu and Jaisalmar in the evening of May 8. Several areas of North India have experienced a blackout, and the match has likely been called off for the same reason. According to media developments, the Pakistan army wasn’t successful in its attempt to attack India as the latter’s defence successfully neutralised the Pakistan missiles.

After the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam last year, the Indian military forces gave a befitting reply to the terror organisations on the morning of May 7. Since then, Pakistan haven’t been quiet and launched several attacks. Nevertheless, they couldn’t break India’s defence and also lost two fighter jets in F16 and JF17.

The youngster, Priyansh, smacked 70 runs off 34 balls before T Natarajan got the better of him. Prabhsimran, on the other hand, registered his fourth successful half-century in the tournament. He was 50* when the floodlight issue occurred and the match was called off.
